Individual, Couple and Family Therapist

I am a licensed clinical therapist in Chicago, Illinois with over 15 years of experience counseling individuals, children and families. I earned my Masters degree (MSSW-MFT) from the University of Louisville in Social Work and received a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.

In my practice, I have successfully helped clients improve their family and interpersonal relationships, cope with grief and loss, find ways to address difficult situations, navigate life transitions and survive unexpected life events.

I am committed to helping you work through the difficulties and celebrate the joyful moments in life. I already know that you have the skills and resources to solve these concerns, and through our therapeutic process we can take the steps which will guide you to get what you desire.

My counseling style is relational, strength-based and solution focused. I believe in treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines finding out what process works best for you, so I will design our goals to meet your personal and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life. I am here to encourage, support and empower you. I look forward to hearing your story and resolving any dilemmas you may bring. I want you to have a more pleasurable, satisfying and peaceful journey through life.

FAQ

How long is therapy?

Most counseling sessions are 50 minutes in length. Initially, it’s important for us to meet weekly to understand the concerns, build a relationship and determine your goals so we have a solid foundation on which to move forward. Sessions can be moved to every other week or monthly. As we make progress, we can decide together the frequency and when services are no longer needed.

How much does it cost?

I accept most major insurance plans, so hopefully you would have minimal or no out of pocket expenses. Please check with your insurance provider to know your benefits.

For those who do not have insurance, I work on a sliding fee scale depending on your income. Services start at $85/hour.

Will my information be confidential?

Yes, what we talk about in therapy will not be discussed with anyone else unless you sign a consent to release your information. The only time I would have to disclose any information is under situations where your life or others are at risk. I value confidentiality, and my goal is to make this time in therapy a safe space for you.

Butterflies are not just remarkable for the beauty they bring into the world, but for the transformation they undergo to bless us with their beauty. This isn’t an easy transition: they must crawl into the darkness of the cocoon, with hope that there is something greater for them on the other side. They must shed their old ways and become something new.

Without the struggle, the butterfly would never, ever fly. It’s the struggle that strengthens our wings.
